My Story

I'm Shannon Jordan — a certified Ontario teacher (OCT), an educator at the Peel District School Board (PDSB), and the founder and head teacher of Inspire Tutoring & Education.

Teaching has always been my calling. There is nothing more rewarding than watching a child go from struggling and frustrated to confident and excited about learning. That transformation — that moment when it all clicks — is why I do what I do every single day.

I founded Inspire Tutoring & Education because I wanted to create a space where every child feels seen, supported, and celebrated. A place where learning is joyful, where small groups mean big attention, and where every student walks away feeling like they can do it.

My Teaching Philosophy

Everything I do at Inspire is guided by these core beliefs.

Every Child Can Succeed

I truly believe that with the right support, every child can achieve more than they think possible. My job is to find what works for each individual learner.

Confidence is Everything

When a child believes in themselves, learning becomes possible. I work hard to build confidence alongside skills — because one without the other isn't enough.

Learning Should Be Joyful

I bring energy, creativity, and genuine enthusiasm to every session. When kids enjoy learning, they learn more — it's that simple!

Small Groups, Big Results

With a maximum of 3 students per group, every child gets the attention they deserve. No one gets lost in the crowd at Inspire.

Literacy Opens Doors

Strong reading and writing skills are the foundation for success in every subject and every area of life. I'm passionate about giving every child that foundation.

Real Teacher, Real Results

As an active classroom teacher, I know exactly what students need to succeed at school. My tutoring is aligned with curriculum expectations and real classroom demands.

Why I Started Inspire

"I started Inspire Tutoring & Education because I saw so many bright, capable children who just needed a little extra support and a lot of encouragement. In a classroom of 25+ students, it can be hard to give every child the individual attention they need. Inspire is my answer to that."
